The Maternity B.V.M. Alumni Association is proud to announce the Second Hall of Honor Class. The Committee selected two very deserving people who are great role models for our School and Students.
Mr. Frank Buzydlowski graduated from Maternity B.V.M. in 1968 and attended Archbishop Ryan High School. He received a bachlor's degree in Marketing from La Salle University and a Law Degree from Temple University. Frank's career resume includes the International Paper Corporation, Exxon, Bell Atlantic and Verizon as Director of Legislative Affairs. He is currently Director of Pennsylvania Government Relations at Verizon. Frank has helped secure many grants for our School and he and his wife, Brenda, are members of our Parish.
Deacon Patrick Diamond graduated from Maternity B.V.M. in 1959. He attended St. Joseph's Prep and later graduated from St. Joseph's College with a Degree in French. Pat taught French in Public Schools while earning a Masters in Secondary Education from Temple University. In 1970, Patrick moved to Our Lady of Grace in Penndel to teach Social Studies. After teaching a few years, Patrick joined the Philadelphia Police Department and quickly moved up the ranks to Lieutenant. During his last few years in the Department, he taught new recruits in the Academy. In the Fall of 2002, Pat was accepted into the Archdiocesan Permanent Diaconate Program at St. Charles Seminary. After six years of study, Pat was ordained in May of 2009 and is currently a Permanent Deacon serving at St. Cecilia Parish.
